About the first professional hides in Camargue

The hides at Camargue Photo Hides by  Alexandra Martinez were designed and built by wildlife photographer Alexandra Martinez after years of field observation in the region. They are the first professional hides ever constructed in the Camargue, giving photographers access to private wetlands that are normally closed to the public.

Each hide is positioned with precision according to light, wind, and habitat.

The Hides are equipped with one-way, non-reflective glass and provide stable, comfortable, and discreet working conditions.

Photographers can work at eye level with the subject, ensuring natural behavior and authentic images. There are both fixed hides, located on dry ground overlooking different habitats, and floating hides, used on shallow ponds for low-angle perspectives.
