About me 

My name is Alexandra Martinez, and I am a wildlife and equine photographer based in the Camargue, southern France.

My love for animals and photography began in childhood. I grew up in Germany in the Eifel Region, surrounded by nature and many animals, which taught me respect and quiet attention for every living being.

Six years ago, I came to the Camargue for the first time and was immediately drawn to its wild landscape - the light, the silence, the white horses, and the countless birds.

Since then, I have made this region my home and focus. 

Alongside equine photography, I built 

Camargue Photo Hides by Alexandra Martinez,

to give photographers access to private wetlands for authentic bird photography.

My approach is simple: respect the rhythm of nature and let every image grow from patience, light, and presence.

I feel privileged to live and work here, to share this landscape with others, and to see how it continues to inspire those who come to experience it.

Since 2024, I have been an official ambassador for Mr.JanGear, a European brand creating durable, functional gear for wildlife photographers.
